Mission Statement

Rural Shepherds Network exists to encourage, promote and nurture meaningful relationships among rural ministers, to equip and empower rural pastors in their personal lives and in their callings, and to strengthen, multiply and plant, strong local churches in rural communities.

Vision Statement

A system of relational support for those who are ministering in isolated rural areas, and those who will plant or catalyze the planting of new churches in communities currently without a gospel witness, by providing training opportunities, mentoring, networking and ministry resources.

 

 

Our 4-Fold Strategy:

1. A Supportive Network for Rural Church Leaders
   For the purpose of helping to strengthen the whole body of Christ in rural regions, through mutually encouraging and equipping relationships.


2. Cross-Denominational Partnering to Provide Applicable Continuing Education Opportunities
   For the purpose of strengthening rural pastors, and to assist in training new leaders, by providing solid biblical training, with “on the job, hands-on” practical experience.


3. Regional Church Multiplication Networks
   For the purpose of developing church relationships that will help in starting, supporting, and sustaining new local churches in rural communities that do not currently have a local church.


4. Rural Church, Strategic Missions Partnerships
   For the purpose of seeing rural churches take an active role in reaching the nations, and strengthening like-minded ministries internationally.
