Instructions for Participating in the Mending The Nets Radio Program

The Mending the Nets Radio Program is intended to be a format for rural leaders to hear from others in similar circumstances, bringing vision and encouragement to those who are faithfully serving in sometimes very small rural communities.

If you would like to participate in this broadcast, please write down some of your thoughts about the encouragement you would like to give to other pastors.  You may want to review the list of possible broadcast topics mentioned under the Broadcast Plan.

Here is what to do:

  1. Write down your thoughts so that they fit within 2 minutes or less (the whole weekly program is 3 minutes).
  2. You do not need to use any of your 2 minutes to introduce yourself.  You will be introduced by us during the rest of the program.
  3. Email a copy of what you want to say, to Rural Shepherds Network at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
  4. If we are not already familiar with you, please include a little information about yourself, and include contact information on another pastor we can contact as a reference for you.

If everything goes well, you will be contacted to set up a time to record your segment.
After we add the opening and closing comments to your segment, KALS in Kalispell, Montana, sends it off to be aired in various locations.  Most of these are in Montana, a few are in Wyoming, the Idaho Panhandle, and different areas of Alaska (All the stations are donating the air time, because we are focusing on working together to encourage and strengthen the rural church).

In the weeks following your recording, we will send you a copy of the program you did, on CD, along with the programs that other pastors contributed during the same time period.
After preparing your first topic, if the Lord lays something else on your heart that would be of  encouragement to pastors, feel free to let us know.
